Working with Princess Yachts International: from Asia to Europe

In August 2013 PMYA Asia’s MD Robert Hawkins was invited by Princess Yachts International to visit its factory based in Plymouth, UK. The purpose of the visit was familiarizing with the factory’s new models Princess 32M and Princess 98 and their specifications in order to pass this knowledge later to the Asian dealers of Princess in South China and South East Asia as well as to the boats’ owners.

Both models of luxury superyachts are already recognized as a benchmark in Princess history. According to the Europe’s oldest and the most authoritative Motor Boat & Yachting magazine the 98 Motor Yacht is one of the most luxurious craft Princess has ever built. And the 32M model was called “Princess’s first but not the last foray in the 100ft-plus world of superyachting”.

The trip to the Princess factory coincided with one of the most popular European boat shows – the PSP Southampton Boat Show in the UK. The show is often called Britain’s favorite on-water boat show, with an enormous territory that is hard to walk within 1 day and more than 1000 boats of all types and sizes on display. For PMYA Asia the show was a perfect opportunity to promote itself and develop its business connections. Being a representative of Princess Yachts International in Asia Robert Hawkins also had a pleasure to meet some of the clients of Princess dealers in China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, along with catching up with his many European customers and friends who work in the industry.
